Adolescents & Youth
Adolescents and youth in the Asia-Pacific region continue to face significant barriers in accessing sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services, comprehensive sexuality education (CSE), and family planning resources. Despite progress in policies and commitments, young people remain vulnerable due to stigma, misinformation, gender inequalities, and inadequate youth-friendly services.
In 2024, FP2030 Asia and the Pacific hub supported four major youth-led initiatives in India, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Bangladesh, bringing together youth advocates, government representatives, and civil society organizations. These events provided a platform to discuss critical issues and identify solutions to advance adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health and rights (AYSRHR). Several thematic recommendations emerged from these dialogues.
