Working towards global reproductive choice; autonomy and empowerment; and gender equality.
FP2030’s success requires building strong and sustainable partnerships between governments and civil society organizations (CSOS), strengthening the role of civil society groups in promoting family planning, and holding governments accountable for the commitments they have made through FP2030.
FP2030 maximizes contributions by civil society to accelerate progress towards achieving FP2030 and Sustainable Development Goals.
How FP2030 Supports
Civil Society Engagement
1
Global Advocacy
FP2030 partners with global organizations like Advance Family Planning and the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition to promote evidence-based family planning practices and advocate for effective solutions to chronic and time-sensitive challenges. This collaboration enhances harmonization among civil society organizations worldwide.
2
Country-Level CSO Engagement:
FP2030 is promoting civil society priorities and improving communication through CSO focal points. This strengthens Family Planning CSO coalitions and ensures effective engagement with CSOs.
3
Country-Level Advocacy for Resource Mobilization and Policy Change
FP2030 empowers youth advocates to prioritize advocacy opportunities accelerating the country’s commitments. They partner with data experts like Track20 for practical, targeted civil society-led initiatives supported by relevant data.
4
Technical Capacity
FP2030 links CSOs with experts to improve family planning programs through cross-learning and facilitates partner consultations on HIPs, PPFP, Rights-Based Family Planning, and data utilization for advocacy.
5
Monitoring and Accountability
CSOs are crucial in helping countries meet their commitments and goals related to FP2030. FP2030 recognizes their importance in monitoring and holding accountable those who make commitments. By working with partners and local CSOs, FP2030 aims to promote collective accountability, share best practices, and build CSO capacity. We also ensure accurate and accessible family planning data for local advocates.
We’re dedicated to advancing the rights of people everywhere to access reproductive health services safely & on their own terms.
