Working towards global reproductive choice; autonomy and empowerment; and gender equality.
The fundamental right of individuals (including young people) to decide, freely and for themselves, whether, when, and how many children to have, is central to the vision and goals of FP2030.
A significant portion of the more than one billion young people (ages 10-24) living in the 69 FP2020 focus countries do not have access to high-quality sexual and reproductive health care programs that meet their needs and empower them to determine matters related to their sexuality for themselves.
How FP2030 Supports
Adolescents & Youth
1
Commitments
FP2030’s initiatives include specific commitments and strategies to address the sexual and reproductive health needs of adolescents and youth. These commitments recognize the importance of empowering young people to make informed decisions about their reproductive health and access high-quality family planning services.
2
Investment in Programs and Services
FP2030 is committed to boosting investment in programs and services that cater to the sexual and reproductive health needs of young people. We fund initiatives that offer comprehensive sexual education, enhance the availability and quality of youth-friendly health services, and increase access to modern contraception methods.
3
Advocacy and Policy Support
FP2030 advocates for policies prioritizing young people’s access to family planning services. We work with governments and stakeholders to promote supportive policies and legal frameworks that enable young people to exercise their reproductive rights and make informed choices.
4
Data Collection and Monitoring
FP2030 recognizes the importance of data collection and monitoring to inform policies and programs targeting adolescents and youth. By gathering data on adolescent sexual and reproductive health indicators, FP2030 can assess progress, identify gaps, and improve interventions to meet young people’s needs.
5
Collaboration and Partnerships
FP2030 works closely with youth-led organizations that aim to promote the rights of young people and enhance access to contraception. We strive to empower young people through these partnerships by amplifying their voices, engaging them in decision-making processes, and supporting their advocacy efforts for sexual and reproductive health rights.
We’re dedicated to advancing the rights of people everywhere to access reproductive health services safely & on their own terms.
Join our effort to build the future we want.
