Thuy Linh Nguyen, MPH, is FP2030’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Director.

Linh is a global health and reproductive rights advocate with over 15 years of experience working at the nexus of MEL, advocacy, and communications, and translating data into strategy insights and learnings. Prior to joining FP2030, she served as the MEL Manager for Advance Family Planning (AFP), a global advocacy initiative with 10 focus countries in Africa and Asia and close partner of FP2030, based at the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. During her time with AFP, she played a key role in shaping and refining guidance on MEL of advocacy in the refreshed SMART Advocacy Guide (previously known as AFP SMART), a now mainstream advocacy approach used by family planning advocates across the globe.

In addition, she also previously held roles at the International Vaccine Access Center where she led global monitoring of vaccine introduction, access, coverage, and impact evaluations, and at USAID’s Africa Bureau where she provided MEL technical guidance and capacity strengthening to Missions in Africa.

Linh received her Master of Public Health and Bachelor of Arts in biology from Washington University in St. Louis.
